Method 1 - Bottom of laptop

Look for model number printed on the bottom of your MacBook. It should have the letter A followed by four digits.

Method 2 - About this Mac

From the Apple menu on the top left of your screen, select 'About this Mac.' The pop up window will show the details of your MacBook type, size and year.
